Any moral system that is detached from God, no matter how noble and sincerely held, will likewise fail.

About This Quote

Have you ever read a moral code that seems to have nothing to do with God? Whether it be the Ten Commandments or The Golden Rule, you know it came from a place of love and respect for God. It was God’s way of setting the guidelines for humanity. However, there are many moral codes that seem to be detached from God. They have rules that have nothing to do with what is right and wrong.

We could call these secular moral codes, or we could just call them immoral. They are devoid of the Bible’s authority because they ignore His law and try to put their own spin on things. We all need a little reminder from time to time about God’s law, because when we forget how important it is to follow laws from Him, we can become too lenient in our personal lives.
